The practical choice

Fillout already offers substantial free capabilities for forms connected to Airtable, Notion, or other workflows. FormPico suits single-page design in an English or Chinese workspace, with free-forever core editing and production integrations still unavailable.

How far the free plan goes

Fillout lists unlimited forms and seats with 1,000 monthly responses on Free. Multi-page forms, conditional logic, pre-filling, and calculations are also included. Its free offering goes beyond a basic field editor. [1]

FormPico’s promise covers core editing in what is currently a local browser workflow. If you need hundreds of external responses each month, solve hosted collection first. The two free descriptions do not refer to the same service coverage.

Test integrations against real data mappings

Fillout lists most integrations, including Airtable, Notion, Google Sheets, and webhooks, on its free plan. For a team with an existing database, the practical question is whether a submission reaches the correct fields and records. [1]

Use a test form to check choices, dates, empty values, and duplicates, then inspect the downstream process. FormPico does not currently provide these production integrations. A settings interface or a CSV export cannot replace automatic writes.

Unlimited uploads still have a file-size limit

Fillout advertises unlimited uploads while its comparison table lists a 20 MB per-file limit on Free. For large videos or high-resolution attachments, verify size limits and the applicable plan before collecting them. [1]

FormPico’s file question records a filename without uploading the contents. Resumes, evidence documents, and images require a verified upload service. A local field preview is not a completed collection workflow.

Check each branding requirement

Fillout places brand removal and custom CSS on Pro, and custom domains on Business. Match the exact branding requirements to the plan rather than assuming all customization comes together. [1]

FormPico’s interface and form themes help refine readability. They do not imply live domains, payments, or team permissions are available. Validate the design first, then evaluate whether the full business workflow can move.

Three checks before switching

  1. Export existing responses and document the mapping between form and database fields.
  2. Inventory branching, pre-filling, calculations, uploads, payments, and webhooks.
  3. Rebuild a single-page design with sample data in FormPico. Keep the working collection and automations until equivalent services are available.
