FormPico vs TallyFree Plans and Form Features
Compare FormPico and Tally on free plans, editing, logic, uploads, and integrations. Understand local form design versus live collection before switching tools.
The practical choice
Tally is the more complete free choice for collecting public responses today. Try FormPico if your immediate task is designing a single-page form in an English or Chinese workspace. Both offer a free starting point; workflow coverage decides the fit.
Compare the capabilities that matter
The FormPico column describes current capabilities. Competitor entries distinguish free and paid scope; numbered links point to official sources. FormPico feature details
| Capability | FormPico | Tally |
|---|---|---|
| Free scope | Core editing is free forever; currently a local preview | Unlimited forms and submissions, subject to fair use [1] |
| Live responses | Cloud collection unavailable; browser-local responses | Online response collection and management [1] |
| Logic and calculations | Executable branching is not available | Included free [1] |
| Files and payments | Filename-only preview; currency fields do not charge | Uploads, signatures, and payments included free, with applicable limits [1] |
| Integrations | Production integrations unavailable | Free Sheets, Notion, Airtable, webhooks, and more [1] |
| Brand and teams | Form appearance settings; no live domain or team service | Brand removal, custom domains, and collaboration on Pro [1] |
Compare what free actually includes
Tally offers unlimited forms and submissions under a fair usage policy. Its free feature list also includes conditional logic, calculations, and several integrations. Those capabilities should not be presented as paid-only features. [1]
FormPico keeps core form editing free forever. Its current browser-local responses are not equivalent to a hosted submission allowance. At a zero-dollar budget, first decide whether respondents outside your browser need to submit a live form.
Evaluate editing with the same questions
FormPico starts with a blank document. Edit questions in place, search for field types, reorder them, and undo changes. Its bilingual workspace and single-page preview help you refine wording before launch.
Rebuild a small form with contact details, a choice, a rating, and an open question in each candidate. Compare the steps to insert and edit fields, keyboard behavior, and the mobile experience. A field count alone tells you little about the work.
When to keep your existing Tally form
Keep Tally when a working form depends on branching, real uploads, payments, or a connection to tools such as Notion. FormPico cannot currently replace that production workflow. [1]
You can use FormPico to rethink your questions while keeping the existing collection link active. Revisit a full switch when cross-device collection and the integrations you need are available and verified.
Treat branding as a separate requirement
Tally puts brand removal, custom domains, collaboration, and deeper styling controls in Pro. Decide whether those requirements justify an upgrade independently of your response volume. [1]
FormPico has appearance controls, but a domain settings screen does not mean a domain is connected. Verify the final respondent URL and branding in any candidate before using it for a brand-sensitive launch.
Three checks before switching
- Export existing responses and keep the live Tally collection link.
- List branching, file, payment, and automation dependencies before rebuilding the questions.
- Test required fields and formats on a phone with sample data. Do not move production traffic to the current local preview.
Questions and answers
Does Tally also have a free plan?
Yes. Its official pricing page lists unlimited forms and submissions subject to fair use. Free access alone is not a unique FormPico advantage.
Can I migrate a Tally form with one click?
This comparison does not promise automatic migration. Check fields, logic, and data manually; FormPico cannot yet replace hosted response collection.
