Respondent experience and free response limits
FormPico vs TypeformFree Limits and Form Experience
Compare FormPico and Typeform on free responses, form layout, logic, uploads, payments, and branding. Find the fit for local design or hosted data collection.
The practical choice
Choose based on collection needs before presentation. Typeform offers hosted collection and logic for free, with 10 monthly responses listed in its help article. FormPico keeps core editing free forever and currently supports single-page design and local preview.
Compare the capabilities that matter
The FormPico column describes current capabilities. Competitor entries distinguish free and paid scope; numbered links point to official sources. FormPico feature details
| Capability | FormPico | Typeform |
|---|---|---|
| Free scope | Core editing free forever; no hosted submission plan yet | Help article lists 10 responses/month total and unlimited forms [1] |
| Respondent experience | Continuous single-page local preview | Hosted forms and several embed options [1] |
| Logic and calculations | Executable branching unavailable | Branching, calculations, scores, and variables included free [1] |
| Files and payments | Filename preview; payments not connected | File upload and payment questions require a paid plan [1] |
| Response handling | Local response views and CSV export | Free result downloads, basic reports, and some integrations [1] |
| Branding and teams | Appearance controls; no production team service | Brand removal, custom domains, and collaboration are paid features [1] |
Estimate total responses first
Typeform’s Free plan article lists 10 monthly responses shared across all forms in an account. An event expecting 50 registrations already needs a different allowance. [1]
The same article warns that pricing experiments can make account entitlements differ from the public documentation. Check your own account before choosing a plan. FormPico’s local preview has no hosted collection allowance to compare with that number.
Does a single page fit the task?
FormPico uses one continuous page, so respondents can see surrounding questions and editors can organize the flow in one canvas. Use it to refine short surveys, registration details, and product feedback.
Evaluate the same questions on a phone: text entry, choices, validation, long answers, and the layout with a keyboard open. Decide between continuous and step-by-step presentation from that exercise. A visual preference is not evidence of a higher completion rate.
Free logic is already part of Typeform
Typeform’s free feature list includes branching, calculations, scores, variables, URL parameters, and custom endings. It also includes result downloads and some integrations. Lack of free logic is not a sound reason to switch. [1]
A form with several answer-dependent paths cannot currently be reproduced directly in FormPico. Map all paths and outcomes first, then decide whether simplifying the form to one page is acceptable.
Check uploads, payments, and branding separately
Typeform lists uploads, payment questions, brand removal, and custom domains as paid features. Trying a paid feature on a free account can put a form into trial mode; sharing it may require an upgrade or removal of that feature. [1]
FormPico’s file and currency fields are not live upload and payment services either. For resumes, deposits, or orders, test the whole workflow. Adding a field in an editor does not prove the underlying service is available.
Three checks before switching
- Measure total monthly responses and verify entitlements in your Typeform account.
- Export past responses and document logic, endings, URL parameters, and integrations.
- Manually rebuild the questions that can work on one page in FormPico. Keep the original live form and test only with sample data.
